MEDIA Programme supports various training programmes and initiatives aimed at European audiovisual professionals and offering them possibilities to further develop their knowledge and skills in their field of work and thus strengthen their competitiveness on the international market.
These training programmes are based on the close cooperation and a know-how exchange between different partners in the field of training and audiovisual industry: film and TV schools, specialized training centres, production and distribution companies or televisions.
Training programmes cover three main fields of audiovisual industry:
Script development
Project management and financing
New technologies
Training initiatives supported by the MEDIA programme are opened to all audiovisual professionals from the EU member countries having at least basic practical experiences. Therefore they do not replace film schools. Their unique in focusing on real practical knowlegde and cooperation between European countries. The training programmes are a great opportunity for all the participants to deepen their skills, make new contacts or raise funding for their projects.
