MEDIA in Czech Republic
MEDIA Desk Czech Republic is the national office of the EU´s MEDIA Programme. The office was opened in Prague on 2 January, 2003. Based on resolution of the Ministry of Culture and of the European Commission, the MEDIA Desk office is operated by the Czech Film Chamber.
The operation of the office is funded by the Ministry of Culture and by the European Union. Thanks to this, MEDIA Desk can be as close as possible to those whom it should serve in the first place - Czech audiovisual professionals and organisations.
It is the objective of MEDIA Desk to ensure that the potential of the MEDIA Programme can be used to the maximum possible extent to develop and support the Czech audiovisual industry.
The main objective of MEDIA Desk is therefore to provide and actively disseminate information about the financial support available under the MEDIA Programme support schemes and to assist all potential programme participants from the Czech Republic in achieving the best possible success when applying for the support.
