Czech Film Center
The Czech Film Center (CFC) was established in 2002 with the aim of systematically enhancing the visibility of Czech film worldwide. The CFC and its activities are financed by public funds and by the Audiovisual Producers Association (APA). I In 2004 after restructuring the CFC, the Film Commission was set up. While one branch continues with promoting Czech film, the Film Commission will focus on services for foreign production companies.
The main activities of FILM PROMOTION include:
Information
The catalogue of Czech films, a regular newsletter and a website inform about the current state of Czech Cinema.
Networking
Providing a useful means of contacting Czech film professionals, foreign institutions and organizations, and film production and distribution companies.
Promotion
The CFC coordinates the participation of Czech films at major international film festivals and markets, and organizes panels and promotional events at the Karlovy Vary. IFF and Finále Plzeň – the Festival of Czech Films.

Information / Contacts
Providing useful local contacts and up-to-date information on production facilities and conditions in the Czech Republic as well as location information.
Co-ordination
Offering liaison services for the film sector with appropriate government agencies, helping with on-site problem solving.
Publishing
A production guide containing basic information on filming in the country and the website www.filmcommission.cz which offers an extensive contact and film database as well as updated news.
