Company
Bontonfilm is the biggest company not only in the area of film distribution to cinemas, but also in the area of home entertainment in the Czech and Slovak Republics. In the Czech Republic, it represents film companies such as Universal, DreamWorks, Paramount and 20th Century Fox for cinemas and Universal, Sony incl. MGM/UA and 20th Century Fox for home entertainment. Besides that, it distributes films produced by independent European and non-European producers and also pays particular attention to showing Czech and Slovak films, including documentaries. A major part of these activities is accounted for by the CČV brand (Czech Video Centre), releasing Czech films on VHS and DVD. On average, Bontonfilm distributes forty new films a year.
